Iran-Cuba Friendship Association joined in homage to Fidel and the Revolution

The city of Karaj was the seat of a new tribute to Fidel and to the 58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. This time, Iran-Cuba Friendship Association convened its affiliates there to receive members of the Cuban diplomatic mission, with the purpose of offering them their solidarity after the physical loss of the Commander-in-Chief and to commemorate a new anniversary of the 1959’s revolutionary triumph.

Students at Imam Sadegh University in Teheran paid tribute to the memory of the Cuban Revolution's historic leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada was between the speakers at the event. Heads of missions and diplomats from other ALBA-TCP member countries represented in the Persian nation, attended as guests.

The Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada was welcomed by the new president of the Iran-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Reza Mansouri, whom he praised on his appointment to the post. Gonzalez also delivered letters of congratulations from the president of the International Relations Committee at the National Assembly of People’s Power, Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, and the president of the corresponding Cuba-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group, Pedro Victor Simon Rodriguez.

During the ceremony of donation of the Complete Works of the Liberator Simon Bolivar by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Universities of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba'i and Islamic Azad, the Iranian academic sector expressed their condolences on the recent death of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

Former President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, visited the Cuban Residence in Tehran to express his heartfelt condolences for the recent death of Cuban Revolution’s leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, with whom he had the opportunity to meet for the last time in 2012, on the occasion of his official visit to Havana.
