Cambodia supports Cuba against U.S. blockade, says lawmaker

Ninh Saphon, president of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, reaffirmed Cambodia’s support for Cuba’s demand for the end of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.If it was not for the U.S. blockade, which violates the rights of an entire people to live in better conditions, Cuba could have more economic development, said Saphon, while welcoming a Cuban sports delegation visiting Cambodia´s capital.

International Friendly Volleyball Match: Cambodia defeats Cuba 3: 1

The Cambodian volleyball team on Thursday defeated Cuban volleyball team 3: 1 in an International Friendly Match. This was a friendly match for Samdech Techo Hun Sen Trophy Volleyball Tournament Season 2022 held from Oct. 15 to 30. At the opening of  the tournament, the Cambodian team also had a friendly match with Singaporean team on Oct. 15 wherein Cambodia defeated Singapore 2: 1.

Cambodia to take on powerhouse Cuba in int’l volleyball friendly

The Cambodian Men’s national volleyball team will play against one of the strongest teams in the world in an international friendly match this week. The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) announced that the Cambodian team will play against Cuba on Thursday at the Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh. The match will start at 7pm. The Cuban and Singaporean national volleyball squads were invited by the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia (VFC) 

Cuban volleyball delegation to visit Cambodia

A delegation of the Cuban Volleyball Federation will travel to Cambodia from October 14 to 24 in response to an invitation from its counterpart in that country. The interest of both parties is to expand and strengthen sports cooperation. The exchange will contribute to the preparation of the volleyball players of the brother country in view of the XXXII Southeast Asian Games, to be organized by Cambodia in 2023.

Cooperation agreements strengthen Cuba-Cambodia relations

The signing of two cooperation agreements in the cultural and sports areas strengthens ties between Cambodia and Cuba, whose Prime Minister Manuel Marrero is on his second day of the official visit to Phnom Penh. The agreements were signed at the end of the official talks between Marrero and his counterpart Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the Peace Palace on Tuesday, in which they noted the progress in the bilateral relationship and ratified the commitment to continue strengthening it.
