Yogyakarta, November 1, 2017. Cuban engineer Bárbara Hernández Martínez, Energy Director of Grupo Empresarial Azucarero, AZCUBA represented Cuba at the Astechnova 2017 scientific event, organized by the Gadjah Mada University of Yogyakarta and the Center for South-South Technical Cooperation (CSSTC) of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM), which was focused on the use of renewable energies and their efficient use.
The celebration of the event from the 5th to the 8th of December in Havana will gather the 80th Anniversary Conference on the Pedro Kourí¨ Institute of Tropical Medicine, the 9th National Conference of Microbiology and Parasitology, the 6th National Conference on Tropical Medicine and the 6th Seminar on HIV and AIDS in Cuba. The scientific meeting will be organized by the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP), the Cuban Society of Microbiology and Parasitology (SCMP) and the Institute of Tropical Medicine "Pedro Kourí" (IPK).
Jakarta: Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro denounced the policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US on Cuba and reiterated the will of the Cuban people to stand strong without renouncing to any of their principles. Cuba will not cease in its claims for the lifting and total elimination of the criminal policy.
Jakarta. On 27th of October: The Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara meet with the Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis to evaluate the possibilities of developing cooperation ties between the University of Havana and the Indonesian high house of studies. Both parts acknowledge there are suitable conditions for exchange in the academic and investigative fields, as well as in the teaching of both countries native languages, Bahasa Indonesia and Spanish.
