Cuba Announces New Migratory Measures.

As part of the continuous and irreversible process of updating the country's migration policy, the Cuban government has decided to approve the following measures, which will take effect on January 1st , 2018:

1) Eliminate the "Enabling" of the passport of Cuban emigrants for travelling to Cuba

2) Authorize the entry and exit to Cuba of Cuban citizens residents abroad on recreational boats, through the International Tourist Marinas Hemingway and GaviotaVaradero. Once the conditions are created, it would be extended progressively to other marinas.

The Organizing Committee of the 11th International Congress of Higher Education "University 2018", invites to participate in the ASSOCIATED EXHIBITION that will take place in the framework of this event at the Havana Convention Center, between February 12th and 16th, 2018 , under the slogan "University and the 2030 agenda for sustainable development" in the centenary of the Cordoba Reformation. The EXPO continues to consolidate itself as the ideal space to show the achievements of higher education, as well as the results of scientific research and innovation in all its spheres.

XIV Forum of the Cuban Civil Society: a denunciation against the blockade

Representatives of more than 100 Cuban civil society organizations demanded in Havana the cessation of the US blockade against Cuba, a few days before the General Assembly of the United Nations is to discuss a draft resolution on the need to end the obsolete Washington policy.
 
The XIV Forum brought together representatives of national and other regional and international organizations based in Cuba, who reaffirmed their willingness to fight against an economic fence that is a violation of international law.

The US blockade policy continues to be a massive, flagrant and systematic violation of the human rights of the Cuban people and qualifies as an act of genocide, as stated by the 2017report which will be presented to the United Nations General Assembly next November 1st.
 
The damage caused by the extraterritorial laws of the blockade is detailed in the report on United Nations General Assembly resolution 71/5 entitled "Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by States" United States of America against Cuba.
 

Declarations of Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs: Cuba has never and will never commit attacks against diplomats

From the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla denounced the decision "unfounded and unacceptable" that the State Department took today by ordering the departure of 15 Cuban diplomats from the United States.

The minister said in Havana that "there is no evidence" of the occurrence, causes and origin of the  alleged "incidents" against US government officials in Cuba, which supposedly caused an array of varying health issues.
