The political declaration of the Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the Group of 77 and China on “current development challenges: role of science, technology and innovation”, was formally adopted as the culmination of two intense days of work by all the delegations including the RDP Laos, on September 15-16 in Havana, Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador to the Lao PDR, Enna Viant Valdés highlighted the positive results achieved in the state visit of the Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith to Cuba on September 13 and 14, which constituted a new milestone in bilateral relations. This visit was announced by the Cuban president Miguel Diaz Canel as the inauguration of the celebration of activities vis a vis the 50 anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2024.
