President of Laos travels to Havana to participate in the G77 Summit

Vientiane, September 2023. The president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, traveled to Havana in response to the invitation extended by his  counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel, to participate in the G77 Summit, under the protempore Cuban presidency.

In a friendly exchange with the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Enna Viant Valdes, he conveyed his desire and satisfaction to fulfill the commitment to visit Havana again and contribute to the success of the event.

The vicepresident of the CubanParliament and the Council of State visits Laos

Vientiane, September 2023. The vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, Ana Maria Mari Machado, is on an official visit to the Lao PDR, fulfilling an invitation from the National Assembly of that country. Upon arriving at the air terminal at Wattay International Airport, she was received by parliamentary member Com. Keochaleun Xianyingyang, vice chairman of the Ethnic Affairs Committee.

President of the Lao PDR will make a state visit to Cuba

Vientiane September 7, 2023. The President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, will lead a delegation to pay a state visit to the Republic of Cuba, and later attend the Summit of the Group of 77 and China.

The visit aims to deepen and strengthen the historical relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Laos and Cuba and promote the necessary ties in the pressing issues of technology and innovation, in which the Lao Foreign Ministry agrees.

The Cuban Ambassador to Laos updates on the preparations for the G77 and China Summit.

Vientiane, September 2023. The Cuban ambassador to the Lao PDR, Enna Viant Valdés, thanked the Lao Press in Foreign Languages, Vientiane Times, for the attention paid to the information provided on the development of the preparations for the Summit of the Group of 77 and China, which will take place in Havana on September 15 and 16, 2023, under the theme "Current development challenges: Role of science, technology and innovation."
