President of the Supreme People's Court of Cuba makes an official visit to Laos

Vientiane, November 2023. At the invitation of the President of the Lao People's Supreme Court, Mrs. Viengthone Siphandone, the President of the Supreme People's Court of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Rubén Remigio Ferro, paid an official visit to Lao PDR from November 15 to 18 of this year.

A positive exchange between the heads of the organs of justice took place during the bilateral meetings, in which there was agreement on the desire to promote cooperative relations in this area.

A commemorative day begins in Laos to remember the historic leader Fidel Castro.

Vientiane, November 2023. The Embassy of Cuba in Laos began the activities in commemoration of the 7th Anniversary of the passage to immortality of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. On this occasion, a walk was led by Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant, officials of the mission and representatives of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association.

Cuba and Laos strengthen relations in the sports sphere

Vientiane, November 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba, Enna Viant, received Mr. Somphone Maneekham, vice president of the Laos Sports Institute.

During the meeting, an exchange of interest took place on the development of sport in both countries and in particular the strengths in medium and long-term work with young talents.

They agreed on the high sporting level of the countries that attend sporting events at all levels and the need to apply advances in science in the preparation of athletes.
