The Cuban Ambassador visited the Lao Party headquarter

Vientiane, September 2024. Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant Valdes had the honor of conveying the greetings of ICAP President Fernando Gonzalez Llort to the Head of the Popular Diplomacy Department of the External Relations Committee of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Com. Bounhong Bounthavong, on the occasion of which she reviewed the historic relations of friendship and solidarity between Laos and Cuba and reported on the preparations for the upcoming Asian Regional Meeting.

Cuban collaborator bid farewell to Lao PDR

Vientiane, September 2024. After more than 4 years of outstanding work at the National University of Laos, NUOL, representing the largest of the Caribbean Antilles, its Education and Culture, the professor of Spanish Language, Luis Mario Zamora, has returned to Cuba. The staff of the Cuban Embassy in the Lao PDR, together with the students of the Spanish unit of the Faculty of Letters, wished him a good trip and success in his new work back home.

Laos joins the global call for lifting the economic embargo and put Cuba off the list of States Sponsoring Terrorism

Vientiane, June 2024. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR join the global call for lifting the economic embargo against #Cuba and removing it from the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism”, as well as ending all unilateral coercive measures.

Lao students received scholarships to study in Cuban universities

Vientiane, June, 2024. The Embassy of Cuba in Lao PDR said goodbye to the new students from this Southeast Asian country who were studying on the island in the current period 2024-2025.

Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés presented them with the established documentation and shared experiences, enriched by the fruitful exchanges held by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Sports, graduates in Cuba, Cuban collaborators and family members, among others present.

Statements by the spokesmen of the MINREX of Vietnam and China, requesting the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that promote terrorism.

The Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, is grateful for recent statements to the press by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of #Vietnam which reject the inclusion of #Cuba in the illegal list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism and call on the U.S. government to end the blockade against our country.
