Exchanges between the parliaments of Cuba and Pakistan have been a cornerstone of relations between the two countries and peoples, said today the Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani when he received Cuban ambassador Zéner Caro at the headquarters of the legislative body.

The Friends of Cuba network convened the meeting on the fifteenth anniversary of the conclusion of the Henry Reeve Brigade's support mission after the 2005 Kashmir earthquake.

Ramzan Mughal, President of the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum, ratified his country's solidarity and firm rejection of the US blockade, while speaking on the panel of the Virtual Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba organised by the Cuban Workers' Central and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
"In these times of hardship and health crisis, the blockade and all sanctions against Cuba must be lifted," said Mughal in his remarks, which have been reproduced by several local media on this International Workers' Day.
