The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba condemns, in the strongest and most absolute terms, the fraudulent designation of Cuba as a State that sponsors terrorism which, in a cynical and hypocritical move, has been announced by the government of the United States.

The Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination of Pakistan, Dr. Zafar Mirza, received today the ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote, who delivered a letter-invitation from his Cuban counterpart to visit Cuba. The Minister accepted the invitation with pleasure and requested the Ambassador to convey his thanks to the Minister of Public Health of Cuba, visit to be processed through diplomatic channels.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, received today the ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote, on a farewell visit, at the end of his five-year mission in Pakistan. During the meeting, they reviewed the excellent state of bilateral relations between the two countries. The President Alvi said that Pakistan attaches the utmost importance to its ties with Cuba and wishes to continue enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, health and culture for mutual benefit.
