The seminar focused on strengthening institutional coordination to address national and global challenges, including the transition to the era of Artificial Intelligence and Timor-Leste's integration into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The Minister-Counselor of the Cuban Embassy in Timor-Leste, Pablo Romero, participated in the event "Charting a Resilient Horizon: Blue Economy, ASEAN Integration, and Coordinated Action"

Díli, May 27, 2026. At the Ministry of Finance, key leaders of the IX Constitutional Government, partners, businesspeople, investors, civil society, and the diplomatic corps gathered to analyze ways to support the development of Timor-Leste as part of the 2011-2030 Strategic Development Plan.

The event also addressed the Sustainable Development Goals, the country's commitments within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and Timor-Leste's role within ASEAN.

Minister-Counselor Pablo Romero Carmenatti represented Cuba at the event.
