Dili, 02-11-2025. Ms Alina Aldama , cuban ambassador to Timor Leste,attended the welcoming reception offered to Mr. Xiang Cheg Zhang , OMC Deputy Director who arrived to Dili heading OMC delegation. In this ocassion Deputy Prime Minister Francisco Kabualdy Lay offered the welcoming reception held at the Convention Center in Dili.

Cuba rejects the decision announced by the President of the United States to use the Guantanamo Naval Base to imprison tens of thousands of migrants he has proposed to forcibly expel. It is a demonstration of the brutality with which that government is acting to supposedly correct problems created by the economic and social conditions of that country, the government's own management and its foreign policy, including hostility towards countries of origin.

On January 14, 2025, the United States government announced the the following decisions:
1) Remove Cuba from the State Department's list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;
2) Make use of the presidential prerogative to prevent U.S. courts from taking action with regard s to law suits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and
