Dili, January 4, 2024. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste, Bendito dos Santos Freitas, received in his offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste, the Cuban Ambassador, Alina Aldama, who congratulated him on the arrival of a new year and delivered a copy of the messages sent at that time by his counterpart, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, in relation to the support received in the fight against the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

Opinion of the President of Timor Leste on the blockade.

Dili, November 9, 2023. The UN General Assembly for the 30th time called on the United States to end the blockade of Cuba.

Results of voting:

In favor: 187 countries

Against: 2 countries - USA, Israel

Abstain: 1 country - Ukraine

Even Ukraine didn't feel it would be right to support US total embargo of Cuba. Only Israel consistently votes with the US.
