Veterans Day is celebrated in Timor-Leste with the participation of the Cuban Ambassador.

Dili, March 4, 2024. The diplomatic corps accredited in Dili was invited to participate in the military parade on the occasion of the celebration of Veterans Day in the country, reason for which Ambassador Alina Aldama attended and shared with members of the Timorese government and other ambassadors, particularly with the Presidency and with the Ambassador of Indonesia Okto Dorinus Manik.

Cuba donates medical equipment for vascular surgery to the National Hospital of Timor Leste.

Dili, March 1, 2024. Ambassador Alina Aldama, accompanied by Dr. Sergio A. Rabell, Director of the Cuban Medical Brigade, and Dr. Rogelio Garcés, member of the Brigade and coordinator of the Guido Valadares National Hospital of Timor Leste, presented to Mrs. Cecilia Barros Mendoza, Executive Director of the National Hospital, the first donation of medical materials for vascular surgery.

Rector Magnificent of UNTL in Timor-Leste, received the Cuban Ambassador.

Dili, February 9, 2024. Rector Magnificent of the National University of Timor Lorosae, Joao Soares Martins, and Vice Rector Tomé Xavier Jerónimo, received Ambassador Alina Aldama, accompanied by Dr. C. Nordis Sánchez, Coordinator of Cooperation of the University of Cuban Sports at UNTL. The purpose of this meeting was to review the work of cooperation carried out by Cuban professionals in this sector and to project the work for the year 2024.

The Cuban Ambassador in Dili, Alina Aldama, had a meeting with the leadership of the Association of Cuban Residents in the country.

Dili, January 29, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador in Dili, Alina Aldama, received the President of the Association of Cubans in Timor-Leste (ACTL), Yoan K. Castells, and Madelis Román, member of the Executive Committee of the Association, accompanied by her daughter, Fernanda Castells Román, to reflect on the results of the IV Meeting of Nation and Emigration, while paying tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, on the 171st Anniversary of his birth.
