Canberra, 2 May 2024. Members of the Communist Party of Australia and the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Workers Union (CFMEU) participated in the Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, held in Havana.
In the event, in which more than one thousand people from different countries of the world ratified their support to the Cuban people and the Cuban Revolution, the president of the Communist Party of Australia, Vinnie Molina, transmitted a message of solidarity to the Cuban people and government.
Canberra, 1 May 2024. Members of the Communist Party of Australia and the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Workers Union (CFMEU) exchanged with the General Secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, during the celebration of May Day.
During the meeting, both parties ratified the will to continue strengthening relations between Cuba and Australia.
Australian friends participated in the popular rally held at the Anti-imperialist Tribune in Havana.
Sydney, 1 May 2024. Members of the Sydney branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) marched in support of the Cuban Revolution during International Workers' Day activities.
During the march, they carried signs supporting the Revolution and demanding an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States government.
