Third Secretary participates in Cambodia Independence Day Reception

Canberra, 3 November, 2023. The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes D. González Llanes, participated in the reception hosted by the Embassy of Cambodia on the occasion of the Independence Day of that country.

During the activity, the official took the opportunity to congratulate the Cambodian ambassador and express Cuba's willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations between both countries.

Vigil against the Blockade at the Cuban Embassy in Australia 

Canberra, November 2, 2023. Members of the Cuba solidarity movement in Canberra held a vigil against the blockade at the Cuban Embassy in Canberra. During the event, video mapping was made on the walls of the Cuban diplomatic headquarters. During the evening, participants made live statements on the Embassy's Facebook page, denouncing the economic and financial blockade against Cuba and the damage it causes to the Cuban people. 

Cuba participates in mining event in Australia IMARC-2023

Sydney November 1, 2023. During the days between October 31 and November 3, Cuba will be participating in the Australian International Mining and Mineral Resources Conference, which also includes a Mining Expo (IMARC-2023) which is attended by more than 8 thousand delegates from 800 mining companies.

Australian Union CFMEU speaks out against the Cuban Blockade

Melbourne, 31 October 2023. The Building and Construction Workers' Union in Melbourne has issued a statement against the blockade of Cuba.

In the document, Australian workers call for the removal of Cuba from the list of sponsors of terrorism, as well as the development of friendly relations and solidarity with the Caribbean Island.

Australia-Cuba Business Council participates in event sponsored by ALABAC at IMARC-2023

Sydney, October 31, 2023. As part of the activities carried out at IMARC-2023, the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABAC) brought together several of the Latin American businessmen and delegations that participated in it. The Cuba-Australia Business Council participated in this activity, an organization that for several years has promoted commercial and economic relations between both countries.
