Monrivia, Apli 19th, 2020.- Cuba and Liberia are today celebrating the 46th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations, which have been characterized by cordiality and mutual support on issues on the international agenda.
Throughout these decades, the ties between the two nations have reflected the will to preserve and strengthen the fraternal ties that unite these two countries.
The impact of COVID19 can already be measured and will be assessed in the future by the striking numbers of people infected, the unacceptable numbers of deaths, the unquestionable damages to the world economy, production, trade, employment and personal income of millions of people. It is a crisis that goes well beyond the scope of health.
Monrovia, April 5, 2020 - This afternoon, the "Group of Liberian graduated in Cuba" sent to our embassy in Monrovia and published in the social networks its declaration condemning the blockade in view of the situation faced by our country in its fight against the global pandemic COVID-19.
The document was sent to our diplomatic mission and posted on social networks by the executive member of this group, Mr. William Wesseh, a Liberian graduate in Cuba with a degree in Electromedicine.
