Minister of Youth and Sports of Liberia meets with Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In the afternoon of Friday, December 9, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Liberia, Mr. Saah 'Ntow Charles, paid a courtesy call to the Director General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia, in the presence of the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires in that African nation, Yordenis Despaigne Vera and the Second Secretary Carmen Maury.

In the afternoon of Friday, December 9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Ms. Marjon Kamara, received the Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal. For the Liberian side, the meeting also included Mr. Dephue Zuo, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration; Mr. Sie-Teba Neufville, Director for American Affairs and Mr. Dave Kontue, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration.

On the morning of Friday, December 2, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the Granma Landing, Chargé d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera received at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Monrovia the Vice-President of Liberia, HE Joseph Nyumah Boakai. Accompanied by several ministers and deputy ministers, Mr. Boakai, on behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is fulfilling commitments outside of Liberia, signed the book of condolences opened since last Monday 28 on the death of the eternal leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander Fidel Castro Ruz.

Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia makes a courtesy visit to Liberty Party executives.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 9, the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, was received at the Liberty Party headquarters. The counterpart was made up of several executives, including Maxwell Grisby, Acting Chief and Jacob Smith, Secretary General, among others. On the Cuban side, the Second Secretary Carmen Maury Toledo participated.
