Liberia-Cuba solidarity group congratulates Cuban people and government on the occasion of National Rebellion Day.

Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - This afternoon, members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group joined the Cuban Embassy in that West African country to commemorate one of the most important days in the history of Cuba, the Day of National Rebellion, a date that marked the beginning of the final stage of the struggles for independence.

On this day of celebration for all Cubans, the friends of solidarity congratulated the government and people of Cuba, a country that educated and welcomed many Liberians who attended free courses.

Monrovia, July 26, 2024 - The 71st anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks was celebrated this afternoon in Liberia.

Members of the solidarity group, graduates in Cuba, and friends of the Greater of the Antilles gathered at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia to commemorate the historic date of the National Rebellion Day.

Cuban President and Foreign Minister send congratulatory message to Liberian counterparts on Independence Day of the African country.

Monrovia, July 25, 2024 - On the occasion of the celebration of the 177th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Liberia, President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla conveyed their warmest congratulations to their Liberian counterparts.

They also ratified the willingness to expand the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia participates in World Population Day celebration.

Monrovia, July 11, 2024. - Liberia joined countries around the world in celebrating World Population Day. The Government of Liberia, in partnership with the United Nations agencies in Liberia, held the World Population Day ceremony at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo's oldest city.

Cuba was represented at the event by Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.
