Cuban Head of Mission gives an interview to Prensa Latina during the celebration of 50 years of Cuba-Liberia diplomatic ties.

Monrovia, April 16, 2024 - April 19, 1974 marked the beginning of relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Liberia, which have remained uninterrupted throughout these 50 years.

During this day of celebration, Prensa Latina published an interview with the Cuban Chief of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, who referred to the most relevant moments of the relationship between the two countries, highlighting that their ties have always been based on cordiality and mutual respect.

Cuban Head of Mission paid courtesy visit to new Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia.

Monrovia, April 10, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez paid a courtesy visit to the new Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Christiana Wahblo Konneh.

The occasion was propitious for the two diplomats to review the progress of bilateral relations and to discuss issues of interest in the multilateral arena.

Cuba reiterates its solidarity with the brotherly people of Mexico.

Cuba condemned, in the strongest terms, the violent raid by the Ecuadorian police on the diplomatic headquarters of Mexico in Quito on April 5, considering it a flagrant violation of International Law, in particular the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the right to asylum and the sovereignty of that nation.

Cuban Head of Mission exchanges with Political Advisor to the President of Liberia.

Monrovia, April 01, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a fraternal exchange with the Senior Policy Advisor of the Office of the President at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs.

In a cordial atmosphere they exchanged on issues of interest to both parties in order to strengthen the Cuba-Liberia bilateral relations.
