Monrovia, February 21, 2022 - At the invitation of the President of the University of Liberia, Professor Dr. Julius J.S. Nelson, Jr., the Cuban Head of Mission in the African country Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the celebration of the 71st Anniversary of the main state university of that nation and one of the oldest in West Africa.

The academic event framed within the celebration of Liberia's Bicentennial was attended by national and international speakers who had studied at the prestigious university.

Monrovia, February 18, 2022 - In the morning hours, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia by the Assistant Minister for American Affairs, Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, with whom she held a cordial and friendly meeting.

During the exchange, the two diplomats discussed bilateral and multilateral issues of common interest.
