Cuban Head of mission participates as jury of the Slum Pitch Festival of Monrovia.

Monrovia, May 31 2021 - Invited by the Angie Brooks International Center, the Cuban head of mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera participated as a judge in the Slum Pitch Festival in which 12 communities of the capital district of Montserrado took part.

Before the competition began, the Cuban diplomat spoke about the social integration of Cuban youth and the work of social workers in Cuba, a speech that was very well received by the young Liberians eager to learn about the Cuban reality.

Liberia actively rejects the US blockade against Cuba.

Monrovia, May 29, 2021 - Members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group were protagonists, this morning, of a caravan for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial sanctions and other restrictions that affect Cuban families inside and outside the island.

As part of the Unblock Cuba campaign, the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association organized a small caravan that started at 10:00 local time and traveled from VOA Community, RIA Highway, Paynesville to Congotown.

Cuban Embassy in Monrovia receives visit of the Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Ministry.

Monrovia, May 28, 2021 - In the morning hours our embassy received the visit of the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, who was received by the head of the Cuban mission in this West African country, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.

The two diplomats had a pleasant exchange where they discussed issues of multilateral interest that require the attention of both countries.

Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia condemns blockade in meeting with Liberian graduates.

Monrovia, May 27, 2021.- In a meeting held with Liberian graduates, the Cuban Head of Mission in this West African country, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, referred to the main elements that have characterized the criminal policy of the blockade against our country, which goes far beyond the well-known coercive measures and economic sanctions applied by the US against third countries.

Invited by the Vice President of Liberia, Cuban Head of Mission participates in graduation ceremony.

Monrovia, May 26, 2021 - At the invitation of the Liberian Vice President, H.E. Jewel C. Howard-Taylor, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the graduation ceremony of a group of disabled people who benefited from the Livelihood and Environmental Management Program, sponsored by Green Gold Liberia and the office of the Vice President of the West African country.

The activity recognized the efforts made by each of the graduates to complete their courses and reintegrate into society.
