Embassy in Liberia continues "Africa Day" celebration.

Continuing the "Africa Day" celebrations, in the "Get to know Liberia" section, we reveal the reasons that make Liberians proud.

The Republic of Liberia gave:

 

  • The first woman of African origin president of the United Nations General Assembly. Angie E. Brooks.

Angie Elizabeth Brooks presided over the United Nations General Assembly from 1969-1970 during the twenty-fourth session, making her, so far, the only woman president of African origin of the Assembly. 

 

Cuban Embassy in Liberia begins celebrating "Africa Day".

Monrovia, May 10, 2021 - Invited by the Mayor of Monrovia Honorable Jefferson Tamba Koijee, and in the framework of the celebration of the Day on the occasion of "Africa Day", the Cuban head of mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera visited the City Hall of Monrovia.

The visit was propitious for a tour of the handicraft exhibition that was taking place in the main hall of the headquarters of the local administration of the capital.

Acting Liberian Foreign Minister receives Cuban head of mission.

Monrovia, May 5, 2021 - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Hon. Henry B. Fahnbulleh received the Cuban head of mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, being his office, the scene of this meeting at the Chancellery of the African country.

During the meeting, which took place in a fruitful and cordial atmosphere, bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to both countries were discussed.

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bureau of American Affairs visits the Cuban Embassy in Liberia.

Monrovia, May 3, 2021 - At the headquarters of our Cuban Embassy in Liberia, we welcomed the visit of the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bureau of American Affairs Hon. Maxwell P. Vah, who was received by the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

During the exchange, which took place in a constructive and cordial atmosphere, several topics related to cooperation in the multilateral sphere were discussed, and the common interest in developing it was ratified.
