Prime Minister of Barbados receives the new Cuban Ambassador

The Prime Minister of Barbados, Honourable Freundel Stuart, received in courtesy visit to the new Ambassador of Cuba, Francisco Fernández Peña. In his welcoming remarks highlighted the high meaning for his country bilateral historical ties and recalled the courage it took for the whole region the act of establishment of diplomatic relations with Cuba 42 years ago, in the days of the Cold War, with a common neighbor so powerful.

Chancellor of Barbados received the new Cuban Ambassador.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados, Honorable Senator Maxine PO McClean, received the new Cuban ambassador, Francisco Fernández Peña, who was congratulated on his appointment, wished him success in his performance and gave all required support to work together for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations.

Cuban Ambassador presented Letters of Credence to the Governor General of Barbados.

The Governor General of Barbados, Sir Elliott Fitzroy Belgrave, received the Credentials of the new Ambassador of Cuba in that country, Francisco Fernández Peña, in a ceremony at the Government Palace, accompanied by the First Secretary, Ana Labaut de Dios. In his presentation, Fernández Peña stressed its commitment to advance the development of bilateral relations and expand the existing cooperation.
