Turkish Union Joins International Solidarity Campaign with Cuba

Nakliyat-İş (the Revolutionary Union of Road, Air and Railway Transport Workers of Türkiye) has announced its participation in an international solidarity campaign with the Cuban people and working class. The initiative, promoted by international trade union organizations, seeks to denounce the U.S. economic blockade against Cuba and express support for the Cuban people's long-standing resistance.

 

A Tribute to Cuba in a Rural Community: A Little Havana in the Jungles of Liberia

Among the dense forests of timber, rubber, and oil palm trees in the village of Santa, in the Salala district of Liberia's Bong county, a Health Center, a Memorial to Cuba, is now under construction.

By agreement of its 4,000 residents, a rural hospital will be established on land donated by Reverend Theodore L. Paye and Dr. Arthur B.C. Wah, on the very site where Cuban doctors fought against Ebola years earlier.
