Documentary “Tarea vida” was presented in Slovenia

Ljubljana, October 9. In a collaboration between the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Cuban Embassy in that country, the documentary “Tarea vida” (Life's Work) was screened at the Kinoteka in Ljubljana, narrating the island's actions in its fight against climate change.

Secretary General of ISA hosts farewell meeting with the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica.

Kingston, 8 October 2025. The Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), Mrs. Leticia Carvalho, held a farewell meeting with the Permanent Representative to this international organisation, Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez.

The Secretary-General acknowledged the work carried out by the Cuban delegation during the working sessions of the ISA Council and Assembly, as well as in the negotiation process for the Regulations for the Exploitation of Mineral Resources in Deep Waters.

The Democratic Left Front (DLF) of Sri Lanka firmly and unequivocally condemns the unjust and illegal economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against the Republic of Cuba for over six decades. This unilateral coercive measure stands as one of the most prolonged and inhumane acts of collective punishment in modern history, violating the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the sovereignty of nations.
