Secretary for Relations with the Vatican States in Cuba

Havana, 3 June 2025._ The Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Holy See, Paul Richard, arrived in Cuba for an official visit, within the framework of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Upon his arrival at Havana's José Martí International Airport, he was received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elio Rodríguez, the head of the Office of Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Caridad Diego Bello, and the Apostolic Nuncio Antoine Camilleri.

UCVL delegation strengthens academic links with the University of Glasgow

The rector of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas (UCLV), Dr. Luis Antonio Barranco Olivera, heads the delegation visiting the University of Glasgow as part of the strengthening of academic and scientific links between the two institutions.

The delegation is made up of Dr Yanelis Delgado Triana, Director of International Relations; Dr Anabel Díaz Hurtado, Vice-Chancellor; and Dr Ginley Durán Castellón, Director of University Assets.

Addis Ababa, June 4, 2025.- The Ambassadors of the Republic of Cuba to Ethiopia and the African Union, Luis Hernández and Lianet Gómez, respectively, received at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission the Secretary-General of the South-South Cooperation Organization (OSSC), Musa Thaer, who is visiting Havana to participate in the first edition of the OSSC Scientific Convention (July 2025).

Cuba Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Sustainable Development of the Coffee Sector

London, 4 June. In an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara Vargas Walter, formally deposited the instrument of ratification for the 2022 International Coffee Agreement.

This act reaffirms Cuba’s commitment to the sustainable and equitable development of the global coffee sector.
