Nicosia Mayor Welcomes Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus

Nicosia, Cyprus, June 11, 2026. The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, was received this Wednesday, the 10th, at the Nicosia City Hall by its top authority, Mr Charalambos Prountzos.

During the courtesy visit initiated by the Cuban diplomat, both authorities exchanged in a context of cordiality, respect, and friendship, reflecting the historic ties that unite both peoples, with shared intentions to establish new proposals for joint collaboration and continue building cultural bridges between Cyprus and Cuba.

Supported by the intense activity generated by the Nicosia City Hall in the socio-cultural field and with the agreement of the capital’s mayor, the Cuban diplomat expressed his full willingness to collaborate on projects, agreements, or cultural and other exchanges that could be coordinated between the two nations from this important city.
