New Zealand Minister of Trade hosts Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister

NEW ZEALAND, October 8th, 2018.- New Zealand Minister of Trade and Export Growth, Hon. David Parker, hosted First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, who made a working visit to this Pacific country as part of his tour through the region.

Both sides agreed to highlight the positive cooperation links developed in recent years, in diverse areas such as trade, agriculture, education and culture. They also referred to the updating process of the Cuban economic model and the new investment opportunities in the Caribbean island.

Cuban Ambassador pays a courtesy call to the Chief Minister of the State of Perak

Kuala Lumpur, October 8 - The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, was received in audience by the Chief Minister of the of Perak, the highest political authority of the state, Dato Ahmad FaizalAzumu.

The occasion was favorable to congratulate the Chief Minister for his election in office after the general elections last May and offer a detailed explanation of Cuba's current situation, its business opportunities and Cuba's willingness to analyse possibilities of establishing business mutually advantageous.

Malaysia interested in sharing Cuba's experience in tropical diseases

Kuala Lumpur, October 8 - The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, visited the Royal College of Medicine in Perak in the company of the rector, Professor Dr Syed Rahim Syed Hamid and other authorities of the center.

During the meeting, the rector acknowledged the results of Cuba in the field of health and research and expressed interest in developing joint projects in tropical diseases and training of human resources.
