Monrovia, February 15, 2018- In the afternoon of this Thursday the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, made a courtesy visit to the new Ambassador of Ghana in that West African nation, Mr. Ernest-Burke Asare-Asiedu. The Second Secretary of the Cuban diplomatic mission, Carmen Maury Toledo, also participated in the fraternal meeting.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba energetically rejects the announcement by a group of nations in the hemisphere, released February 13 in Lima, that constitutes unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of the Bolivarian Republic de Venezuela, and at the same time categorically rejects the decision to reconsider the participation of the Venezuelan government in the 8th Summit of the Americas, to be held this coming month of April, in Peru.

Cuban VP arrives today
The Vice-President of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba, Mercedes López Acea, arrives here this afternoon on a three-day official visit.
Seychelles is the last leg of a tour which comprised Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea and Ghana.
The travel is aimed at reinforcing the historical and fraternal friendship ties and solidarity between Cuba and Seychelles.
The official Cuban delegation is also made up of the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ana Teresita González Fraga.
