Antigua and Barbuda. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba and the member countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on multi-destination tourism, during the recently concluded CACRICOM-Cuba Summit.

We, the Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community and the Republic of Cuba, meeting in St. Mary’s, Antigua and Barbuda, on 8 December 2017, on the occasion of the Sixth CARICOM-Cuba Summit and in commemoration of the forty-fifth anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations among the independent states of CARICOM and Cuba and the fifteenth anniversary of CARICOM-Cuba Day.
The Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mrs. Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang, received Cuban Ambassador Lazaro Herrera Martínez at the Government House, with whom she held a fraternal meeting.
The occasion allowed a fruitful exchange during which the two parties expressed interest in strengthening friendship and extending the collaboration to other areas, beyond the medical assistance that the island has offered to the African country for more than two decades.
