With an emotional Political-Cultural Ceremony, the members of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations pay homage to the undefeated Commander-in-Chief and Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, in the first anniversary of his physical disappearance.
New York, November 29, 2017."This evening we are not here to mourn the death of a man but to praise the legacy of a giant ..." were the opening words, said by the Cuban Ambassador Humberto Rivero Rosario, at the Political and Cultural Ceremony held at the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations yesterday evening to pay homage to the life and work of the Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

The President of the Republic of Finland, His Excellency Sauli Niinistö, received on Tuesday, in a solemn audience held at the Presidential Palace, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Eduardo Lazo Pérez, who presented the Letters of Credence that accredit him in those functions.
