Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. August 17, 2018. Casa del Habano celebrated its reopening in the Mongolian capital, together with the diplomatic corps accredited in Mongolia and the Embassy of Cuba. The event also had the participation of businessmen and government officials from this country. Lovers of Cuban cigars were able to taste their exquisite and incomparable flavor accompanied by different cocktails made with the famous Cuban rum Habana Club.
On August 16th Minister for Finance Grant Robertson hosted Latin American Ambassadors at his office in the Beehive. During the meeting the diplomats had the chance to be briefed on diverse policies from the Labour led government, being an important opportunity to gather information on issues of interest for their respective nations. It´s important to say that in many ways, New Zealand is an important reference for Latin America and both sides are looking on ways to increase ties.

According to the Scholarship Plan of Cuba approved for 2018, the Embassy of Cuba in Saint Lucia concluded the process of granting a total of thirteen (13) Scholarships to Saint Lucia in the specialties of Medicine, Dentistry and Post-Graduate Medical Scholarships. The selected Saint Lucian students signed the commitment to the Code of Ethics to be observed in the Cuban Higher Education Centers and received their Scholarship Files.
