Minister of Fisheries of Madagascar received Cuban Ambassador.

Antananarivo, November 8. The Minister of Fisheries of Madagascar, Gilbert Francois, received today Ernesto Gómez Díaz, Ambassador of Cuba in Madagascar, who paid him a courtesy visit at his offices.

Gilbert remembered with emotion his years of study in Cuba and how it influenced his future life. He also expressed his interest in visiting the island with a view to establishing cooperation ties in the fishing sector and studying Cuban experiences in this field.

President of Madagascar received the Cuban Ambassador’s credentials.

Antananarivo, November 8.The President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E. Mr. Hery Rajaonarimampianina, received today in a solemn audience, Ernesto Gómez Díaz, who presented his credentials as Ambassador of Cuba to this African country, at the Presidential Palace.

The Malagasy leader sent greetings to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and showed his solidarity for the damage that Hurricane Irma caused in Cuba, while recognizing the community of interests that both countries have in the defense of the environment and other issues of the international agenda.

Chancellor of Madagascar received Cuban Ambassador.

Antananarivo, November 7. Heny Rabary-Njaka, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar, received the ambassador of Cuba, Ernesto Gómez Díaz, at the Foreign Ministry's headquarters, who presented him the copies of his credentials.

During the lively dialogue, both interlocutors exchanged about the current state of bilateral relations and agreed on the need to continue advancing in the strengthening of cooperation relations.
