The revolutionary Cuban government issued a declaration forcefully denouncing the attempted attack on the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, which occurred Saturday August 4, during a military parade in Caracas.
On August 6th Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray take part in in a event to commemorate the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Cuba confirms the highest priority on the field of disarmament and especially to the elimination of atomic weapons, which was demonstrated by the presentation of the ratification instrument of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons on January 30th. Cuba was the fifth country to ratify the agreement.
