Cuban experts convene a digital forum on alleged acoustic attacks

The Committee of Cuban Expert that has studied the alleged acoustic attacks on US diplomats in Havana, invites you to participate in an online forum entitled: Scientific Debate on the alleged acoustic attacks that occurred in Havana, to be held on Wednesday November 15, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cuba’s time. This online forum will take place on the Web site Red Cubana de la Ciencia, and will resume the following day November 16, as from 10 a.m.

Malaysian publication highlights the achievements of biotechnology despite the blockade

Kuala Lumpur, November 13th- The October edition of the magazine of the Biotechnology Information Center of Malaysia, published an interview with the Cuban ambassador in Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández about the development of biotechnology, its origins and perspectives.

The ambassador highlighted the role of comrade Fidel Castro in the creation of a scientific pole that responded to the needs of the people, allowed to substitute imports and placed Cuba among the world leaders in the production of competitive biotechnological products.

Islamabad, November 12, 2017. The Embassy of Cuba, in coordination with the President of the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan and the Pakistan-Cuba friendship group, organized the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Equestrian Cup, in commemoration of the first anniversary of his death. The event, chaired by the Cuban ambassador, Gabriel Tiel Capote, was attended by heads of Diplomatic Missions, representatives of the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum, the Association of Pakistani Doctors Graduated in Cuba, journalists and numerous friends of solidarity. Minister of Fisheries of Madagascar received Cuban Ambassador.

Antananarivo, November 8. The Minister of Fisheries of Madagascar, Gilbert Francois, received today Ernesto Gómez Díaz, Ambassador of Cuba in Madagascar, who paid him a courtesy visit at his offices.

Gilbert remembered with emotion his years of study in Cuba and how it influenced his future life. He also expressed his interest in visiting the island with a view to establishing cooperation ties in the fishing sector and studying Cuban experiences in this field.

President of Madagascar received the Cuban Ambassador’s credentials.

Antananarivo, November 8.The President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E. Mr. Hery Rajaonarimampianina, received today in a solemn audience, Ernesto Gómez Díaz, who presented his credentials as Ambassador of Cuba to this African country, at the Presidential Palace.

The Malagasy leader sent greetings to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and showed his solidarity for the damage that Hurricane Irma caused in Cuba, while recognizing the community of interests that both countries have in the defense of the environment and other issues of the international agenda.
