In Sri Lanka, a well-deserved tribute is paid to Fidel

Colombo, November 24, 2025. As part of the centennial celebration of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz (August 13, 2026), and in commemoration of the ninth anniversary of his death, the Sri Lankan Graduates Association in Cuba, together with the Cuban Embassy, organized a well-deserved tribute, demonstrating the enduring relevance of Fidel's thought. Also participating was Dr. Mohamed Waheed, the first graduate from the Maldives to study in Cuba.

ORGANIZED BY THE INDEPENDENT PROJECT HEALTH-CUBA AND THE EMBASSY IN ATHENS, A NIGHT OF FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY WAS HELD AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE DIPLOMATIC MISSION WITH THE GOAL OF COMPLETING A DONATION OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND MEDICINES TO BE SENT TO THE CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER IN HAVANA AND OTHER CUBAN HEALTH CENTERS, AS WELL AS TO THE VICTIMS OF DELHUACAN MELISSA.

New Delhi, November 22, 2025- The world record holder of high jump, Javier Sotomayor, participated in the seventh edition of the Ekamra Sports Literature Festival held in New Delhi. In a day of discussions and exchanges with the press, Sotomayor held meetings with fans and invited athletes, among which stands the national record holder of the discipline Tajaswin Shankar, and other members of the local sports movement.
