Cuban Ambassador participates in commemoration of 50 years of ECOWAS.

The 50th anniversary of the West African regional integration (ECOWAS) was commemorated with a seminar and a fair in Monrovia. Both events were attended by government officials, diplomats, and the Cuban ambassador, Dr. Indira López Argüelles.

Coinciding with Africa Day, Liberia also celebrated its integration into ECOWAS, a platform that seeks to create new sustainable spaces for the development of its member nations.

Cuba Celebrates Anniversary of International Medical Collaboration in Zimbabwe

Harare, May 24, 2025 – The Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe received recognition today from the State Mission on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the beginning of the Caribbean country's international collaboration in health.

Specialized contingents have been present in this African nation since 1987, with 937 brigade members from 2000 to the current 14th, recognized by the national authorities of Cuba and Zimbabwe for its high scientific level.
