President of Kiribati expressed appreciation to the Cuban medical cooperation

Wellington, February 15, 2016. In a brief meeting with the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, Kiribati President Anote Tong, praised the cooperation that Cuba develops with the Pacific Islands, in particular the scholarships for medical studies provided to young i-Kiribati in universities across the Caribbean island, as well as the work of Cuban doctors in this nation and its impact on the improvement of its health indicators.

Barbadian Minister of Education to attend with a delegation to University-2016 International Congress in Cuba.

The Honorable Ronald Jones, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Barbados, led a delegation that visited Cuba between 15 and 19 February to attend the International X Congress "University-2016" and make both a bilateral exchange with maximum Cuban educational authorities. Commemorative event in India for the 163 anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti.

New Delhi, February 10, 2016. In coordination with the Embassy of Cuba, the public school in India that is named after José Martí celebrated the 163 anniversary of his birth with a political-cultural gala attended by H.E. Mr. Oscar Martinez Cordovés, Ambassador of Cuba and Mrs. Parmila Tokas, a member of the Indian Parliament as guests of honor.
