GRULAC member States meet in Bangkok

GRULAC countries with representation in Bangkok include Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, México, Panamá and Perú

GRULAC member States represented in Bangkok met on April 25th, 2017, to celebrate the presentation of Letters of Credence by Ambassadors of Mexico and Argentina to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun (King Rama X). GRULAC countries with representation in Bangkok include Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, México, Panamá and Perú - with Cuba being the sole Caribbean country with a diplomatic mission in Thailand.

FOREIGN SECRETARY OF PAKISTAN RECEIVED THE AMBASSADOR OF CUBA

Islamabad, April 25, 2017. Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, H. E. Ms. Tehmina Janjua, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote, who took the occasion to congratulate her on recent appointment as head of this important post. During the meeting, the main themes of the excellent bilateral relations were reviewed, while the willingness of the two countries to strengthen them, and to extend economic and commercial links to mutual benefit. Meritorious participation of young Cuban athletes at the IAAF World Relays 2017

THE BAHAMAS, 24 April 2017. -Cuba participated in the third IAAF World Relays held in Nassau, The Bahamas, on 22 and 23 April.

With the presence of 9 young athletes, the Cuban delegation was inserted in the modalities of 4x100 and 4x400 meters of men's relief.

In the men's 4x100 category, Cuba was left to reach the thirteenth place with a time of 39.67 seconds.

Cuba welcomes the 20th anniversary of the "Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction" (Convention on Chemical Weapons), whose full, effective and non-discriminatory application is strongly committed.

Cuba was one of the original signatories states of this instrument and ratified it on 29th April, 1997, the date of its entry into force.
