Ministro de Juventud y Deportes de Ghana ratifica los vínculos con Cuba

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ghana, Hon. Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, received the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne Gonzalez at the headquarter of the Ministry.

The Ghanaian Minister and the Cuban Ambassador talked on the historical cooperation between the two countries in the field of the sports and expressed that the boxing is an activity of common interest, because Ghana and Cuba had had good performances in this sport and Cuba had been training Ghanaian boxers many years ago. The Minister also emphasized about the presence in Ghana of the Cuban doctors.

Cuba calls to abolish military bases

On April 26, the President of the Cuban Movement for Peace and Sovereignty of the Peoples (MovPaz), Silvio Platero, reiterated in Havana that the U.S. Naval Base in Guantánamo is the only one in the world which exists against the will of the people and government of the land on which it is located.

Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia pays a working call to Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hor Namhong, at Council of Ministers of the Southeast Asian nation. Both parties referred to the history of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Cambodia.

Australian Senator expresses interest in closer ties been Cuba and Australia

"We are very willing to work together with Cuba," said Australian Senator Chris Back, when he was received in Havana by Ms Ana Maria Mari Machado, MP and Vice President of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP).

The visitor expressed his satisfaction that the National Assembly was the first host of his visit to the island, adding that he would like to get closer to the Cuban experience on such important topics as education, foreign investment and the tourist industry.
