Press Release: Cuba reiterates its firm support to the just claims of the indigenous peoples.

New York, 24 April 2017. As part of the 16th session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, expressed today that ten years after the adoption of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and despite the goals achieved, many indigenous communities around the world still face situations of violence, racism, marginalization, major economic and social disadvantages, extreme poverty and plunder of their lands.

Press Release: Cuban Ambassador to the United Nations participates in the launching of the book: “Cuba-US Relations: Normalization and its challenges”.

New York, 25 April 2017.  Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations Organization attended the launching of the book “Cuba-US Relations: Normalization and its challenges”, at Columbia University. The book results from the joint work of the US academician Dr. Margaret Crahan, Director of the Cuba Program at the Institute for Latin American Studies of this higher-level study center and the Cuban researcher Soraya Castro, from the International Politics Study Center (CIPI), associated to the Higher Institute for International Relations.

Joint Secretary of Trade and Industry of India welcomes the Cuban Ambassador.

New Delhi, April 24, 2017. The Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of India, in charge of Latin America and the Caribbean, Ms. Anita Praveen welcomed the Cuban Ambassador in a cordial meeting where it was  reiterated  the Minister Malmierca's invitation to the Minister of Trade and Industry of India to participate in FIHAV 2017 leading a delegation of businessmen.

During the meeting they also discussed the possibilities of strengthening the exchange between the two countries (Embassy of Cuba in India).

Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Liberia makes a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the MPC party

The Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Liberia, Carmen Maury Toledo, was received at the headquarters of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), by its Secretary General OR 'Neal Passawe.

The executive expressed his willingness to work with Cuba, mainly in areas such as the training and preparation of young people in the health sector, able to cover the deficit of health personnel in rural areas of the country. He thanked the visit and offered some elements about the work projections of the political organization, in view of the October electoral process.
