Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in mass to commemorate the Independence of Peru

Canberra, 7 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes González, participated in the mass held on the commemoration of the Independence of Peru.

Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Canberra and representatives of the Peruvian community living in Australia attended the ceremony.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in the launch of Warm Trees 2024

Canberra, 3 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the launch of Warm Trees 2024.

This year marks a milestone, with 10 years of Warm Trees exhibitions held at the National Arboretum. This project involves a number of volunteers and community members both locally and across Australia.

On this occasion, the initiative was the result of a collaboration between Friends of the Arboretum and the Chilean Embassy.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in Egypt's National Day Reception

Canberra, 2 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Mrs. Ivianes González, participated in the reception offered on Egypt's National Day.

The occasion was propitious to reaffirm the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations between Cuba and Egypt.

Members of the Cuban Embassy and ACFS-Canberra Branch visit Cooma as part of the campaign "From Australia to Cuba with Love"

Canberra, 30 June 2024. Members of the Canberra branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), and Embassy representatives, led by the Third Secretary Ivianes Gonzalez, visited the town of Cooma as part of the "From Australia to Cuba with Love" campaign. 

They visited the Cooma Café, where Ercan, also a member of ACFS, provided them with lunch and hot drinks to face the 6 degree weather.

Cuban Ambassador meets with the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry

Canberra, 27 June 2024. Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez met with the Assistant Minister for Trade and Manufacturing, Tim Ayres.

During the meeting, they had the opportunity to exchange views on issues of common interest, especially in the framework of the 35th anniversary of bilateral relations between Cuba and Australia.
