Cuban Ambassador to Australia meets with Secretary of Brisbane Electricity Trades Union

Brisbane, 24 June 2024. Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez La O met with the Secretary of the Brisbane Electricity Trades Union, Peter Ong, at the union's headquarters.

During the meeting, they exchanged on issues of common interest.

The union leader expressed his support and commitment to the Cuban people, a gesture for which the Ambassador expressed her gratitude.

Queensland University of Technology to host event to promote Cuban biotechnology

Brisbane, 24 June, 2024. An event was held at Queensland University of Technology this morning to promote Cuban biotechnology and Cuban-origin products marketed by Raydel Australia PTY LTD. Raydel is a pioneering partner in Cuban biotechnology in the region.

The event was sponsored by the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC), in coordination with Raydel, BioCubaFarma and the Cuban Embassy in Australia.

Cuban Ambassador and Consul joined ACFS-Brisbane in the "From Australia to Cuba with Love" campaign

Brisbane, 23 June 2024. The Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez La O and the Third Secretary for Consular Affairs Ivianes D. González Llanes joined members of the Brisbane branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) in the "From Australia to Cuba with Love" campaign.

The participants walked 6 km around the Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk.

The activity concluded by denouncing the U.S. blockade against Cuba and calling for Cuba's removal from the immoral list of state sponsors of terrorism.

"Australia to Cuba with Love" campaign continues

Brisbane, 23 June 2024. The third edition of the From Australia to Cuba with Love Campaign, launched June 1, runs until July 26, 2024.

The campaign, coordinated by the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, also seeks to raise funds to donate to projects on the island.

To date, $4910.00 has been raised. Likewise, 8079 km have been covered, 636 km more than half of the proposed goal (14,886 km).

Brisbane, 22 June, 2024. An event against the U.S. blockade to Cuba was held at the Brisbane Electric Trades Union headquarters.

The public forum, coordinated by the Brisbane Branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), featured Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez, who briefed the audience on the negative effects of the U.S. blockade of Cuba and the immoral designation of Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism.
