Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in Colombia National Day
Canberra, 22 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the ceremony, concert, and documentary screening of the Embassy of Colombia on the occasion of the celebration of its National Day.
The diplomat conveyed her congratulations to the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Colombia; and reaffirmed the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations between both countries.
Cuban ambassador exchanges with Cubans living in the city of Perth
Perth, 21 July 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez, held a warm meeting with Cuban residents in the city of Perth.
They discussed the new Migration Law and exchanged ideas to improve the consular work.
The ambassador had the opportunity to visit the boxing school, which belongs to one of the Cubans, and the Western Australia Ballet, of which some Cuban residents are part.
Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in Flag Raising Ceremony for Colombian National Day
Canberra, 19 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony on the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Colombia.
The ceremony took place at the Latin American Plaza and members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Canberra attended the event.
Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in activities for NAIDOC Week 2024
Canberra, 10 July 2024. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the launch of NAIDOC Week 2024 held on 8 July at the headquarters of the Australian Foreign Ministry and in the reception hosted by the Foreign Ministry on 10 July. Both activities were well attended by the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Canberra.
Members of the Melbourne branch of the ACFS strongly discourage the U.S. blockade
Melbourne, 9 July 2024. Members of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), Melbourne Branch strongly discouraged the US blockade and stood in favor of the exclusion of Cuba from the immoral List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
