Cultural Gala for Cuba in Melbourne

Melbourne, 29 July, 2023. On the evening of July 29, more than 150 people gathered at the headquarters of the Maritime Union of Australia (Victoria branch) in a beautiful Cultural Gala where anthological numbers of Cuban music such as "La guitarra" by the iconic singer-songwriter Sara Gonzalez and "Hasta siempre Comandante" by Carlos Puebla were performed.

Cuban resident in Australia promotes solidarity with her country

Santiago de Cuba, 29 July, 2023. Edelmira Palacios, a Cuban resident in Australia, praised the solidarity activities that took place as part of the National Consultation of the territorial representations of the Friendship Association between the two countries.

By e-mail, the activist of these fraternal ties referred to the meeting held at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Melbourne, with the presence of Tanieris Diéguez, Cuban ambassador to Australia, who explained details of the Code of Families.

Australia and Cuba: love against all barriers

Melbourne, 28 July, 2023. The activities corresponding to the National Consultation in 2023 of the different branch representations of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association, began with a meeting on Friday, July 28 at the headquarters of the Faculty of Arts of the prestigious University of Melbourne, whose program included a presentation on the Code of Families approved by more than six million Cubans in 2022 after consultations and popular referendum. 

The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba participates in a meeting of consular officials from Latin American and Caribbean countries accredited to Australia

Canberra, 27 July, 2023. The Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the Commonwealth of Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the meeting of consular affairs officials from Latin American and Caribbean countries accredited to Australia.

The meeting, which had not been held since March 2021, was conducive to exchange on various issues of common interest and outline new goals for joint work, in order to achieve better results and a closer approach to local authorities and actors.

Tour of young Cubans begins in different cities of Australia

Brisbane, 26 July, 2023.  Marianniz Díaz, a researcher at the Center for Molecular Engineering of Cuba, and Ivan Barreto, an official at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, began their tour in Australia in the city of Brisbane.

After their arrival they were received by members of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) in that city. During their stay, they will be accompanied by different branches of the solidarity movement.
