Ambassador of Cuba exchanges with Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba

Canberra, 15 June, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia held a meeting with members of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba. The meeting, held at the Cuban Embassy in Canberra, was attended by several members of the Australian Parliament who are members of the group and have worked for several years in support of the Caribbean nation.

Canberra, 14 June, 2023. Members of the Cuban Embassy in Australia participated in the celebration of the Russian National Day in this capital. The diplomats exchanged with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in this capital Alexey Pavlovsky and reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations.

The occasion was propitious for diplomat Ivianes Gonzalez, Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, to convey congratulations on behalf of the Cuban authorities.

Cuban Ambassador to Australia participates in an event organized by the International Transport Workers' Federation and the Maritime Union of Australia, at the Australian Parliament

Canberra, June 14, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia participated in the launch event of the campaign, "Nowhere to Hide", sponsored by the Maritime Union of Australia and the Transport Workers' Federation.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of compliance with international standards on the Law of the Sea, mainly those relating to the rights of seafarers.

The occasion was an opportunity to exchange experiences among members of various sectors of the trade union movement in Australia.

Cuban Ambassador exchanges with the President of the ITF and General Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia

Canberra, 14 June, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia exchanged with Paddy Crumlin, current President of the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) and General Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia at the headquarters on this capital.

During the exchange Crumlin extended warm greetings to the Cuban trade union representatives and reaffirmed the support of the Australian trade union organization for the Cuban people, in particular its rejection of the blockade that Cuba has unjustly suffered for more than six decades.
