Kwanzaa Festival dedicated to the commemoration of the Cuban and Haitian Revolutions
The Organizing Committe of #KwanzaaFestival2023 dedicated the closing event to celebrating the Anniversaries of the Haitian Revolution and the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
This event was lead by the Representative of the Prime Minister's Office, Trevor Prescod and was dedicated to celebrate the African heritage in Barbados.
Barbados & Cuba Discuss Cooperating On Tourism
Cooperation on tourism was the main point of discussion when Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill, was paid a courtesy call by Cuban Ambassador to Barbados, Yanet Stable Cárdenas.
The meeting between the two officials took place today, at the Ministry, One Barbados Place, Warrens, St. Michael.
During their talks, Minister Gooding-Edghill spoke about Barbados and Cuba having an “excellent long-standing” history of cooperation and strong ties, especially in the areas of health and sports.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Barbados. Yanet Stable Cárdenas held a meeting with the Hon. Adrian Forde, Rph., M., Minister of Environment, National Beautification and Blue and Green Economy.
Both expressed their willingness to strengthen ties in these areas, based on the specific needs of the Caribbean islands in the face of environmental challenges.
