Celebration for International Women's Day at the residence of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley

As part of the activities in commemoration of International Women's Day in Barbados, the so-called "Tea Party" took place on March 11, at the residence of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, which was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba in Barbados, Yanet Stable, fulfilling an invitation from her Office.

One of the objectives of the event was to raise funds to support women who have been affected by the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The night of March 6 was witness of rithm and color at the Drum Festival, sponsored by the Israel Lovell Foundation of Bridgetown, Barbados.

Dedicated to African roots in the Caribbean, this event, in its first edition, served as a stage for children, young people and more experienced people who, as part of a community project, showed the authenticity of their art.

AfroFest in Barbados

As every year, the AgroFest was held in Barbados, which brings together the main exponents of the Island and countries of the Caribbean region, in the field of Agriculture.

In addition to the presentation of products, AgroFest serves as a stage to establish and strengthen links between producers and companies in the sector.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Barbados, Yanet Stable, who visited the Festival headquarters, exchanged with Agro Fest authorities about a possible participation of Cuba in the next edition.

On Sunday, November 13, Remembrance Day is commemorated in which the People and Government of Barbados pay tribute to all those who have fallen in war. Together with the Diplomatic Corps, we placed floral wreaths in the Cenotaph of Heroes Square, and accompanying the highest authorities of the country, participated in the ceremony of tribute, offering and parade.

Honoring the victims of CUBANA 455 bombing over Barbados, premiere of the film and unveiling of the wax image of Captain Wilfredo Pérez that will be exhibited at the Caribbean Wax Museum in Barbados.

On the night of October 7, 2022, and as a follow-up to the day in which we pay tribute to the martyrs of crime in Barbados, a World Premiere was held to show the documentary film entitled "CUBANA 455" by Chicano filmmaker Enrique Berumen, a graduate of the Film School of San Antonio de los Baños. The film makes a detailed exhibition based on interviews and newscasts of each element and point of view over the first horrendous bombing of a civilian commercial aircraft in flight.
