Successful ending for Cuba´s leadership at the helm of the AEC

Cuba successfully concluded its administration today as the head of the pro tempore presidency of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC), said today Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra.
At the end of the XXII Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the bloc, Sierra said that the island had an intense activity, aimed at revitalizing the operation of the Association, fulfilling the mandate it received last year at the Havana Summit.

ACS seeks in Cuba partnerships to unlock Caribbean potential

Cuba aims to create joint partnerships with the countries of the Caribbean that promote joint development, respecting culture, history and taking advantage of common factors, according to Cuban officials who offered a press conference in the framework of the Senior Officials Segment Of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), in which they called for increased exchange among countries in the region as part of a strategic alliance.

Successful conclusion of the AEC Senior Officials Meeting

The Segment of Senior Officials of the XXII Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC), which met today at the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel, was an auspicious space to support the process of strengthening the Association and the Commitments and agreements endorsed in the Declaration and Plan of Action of Havana, adopted at the VII Summit of the Association, held in June 2016, in the Cuban capital.

At the conclusion of the 1st Conference of Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), in which representatives of 71 delegations exchanged in the Havana Ambassadors Hall of the Hotel Habana Libre, ACS Secretary General June Soomer thanked the opportunity Provided by Cuba as host country: "The Association is composed of small countries that do not have the possibility to meet, but Cuba has provided this space to meet both donors and member states." The First ACS Cooperation Conference to begin in Havana

Focused on tackling climate change, air transport and maritime connectivity, the First Conference of Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) began in Havana. According to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, these two major areas of work of the ACS will focus the debates of this meeting, which is its first edition in the history of the Association and will be maintained for the future and will be held the day prior to each meeting of the Council of Ministers.
